Costs and features
The cost of the basic plan is $34.79 per month, but the range of plans extends through to $139.13 per month for those who want ‘virtually unlimited everything’ including free calls to landlines in 30 nominated countries around the world.
The most popular plans are:
- $34.79 – free features + 100 minutes + 250MB data
- $69.57 – free features + free calls to NZ landlines + 500 non-talkzone mobile minutes + 500MB data
- $104.36 – free features + free calls to NZ landlines + 1000 non-talkzone mobile minutes + 500MB data
12, 24 and Monthly Contracts
Those contracting for 24 months enjoy a range of phone subsidies, the specific amount of subsidy varies with the plan. Subsidies range from $86.96 – $695.65.
Monthly contracts enjoy the benefit of a monthly term.
If not in need of a subsidy, the most economic way to get the most out of these plans is to buy a phone and contract for 12 months at a discounted rate.
Those coming from another telephone network, can keep their existing number.
Those who break their contract with the Vodafone are eligible for early termination charges. ETC’s are calculated by taking 50% of the fully monthly access charge and multiplying it by the number of months remaining in the contract.
